Ok, here's the pics from my Big Chop. Not quite sure how I feel. It's a little shorter than what I thought but I have a wedding to attend tomorrow so I have no other choice but to rock it!

I like it! It looks like the length of mine.

I like it and it makes you look younger! The picture with the flower is really cute. If you're not used to short hair it takes time to get used to it. But your confidence will really grow as the days go by

Thanks so much for the encouragement everyone. I think it's just a little shorter than expected but I will live. I'm gonna go and try to find a couple cute headbands and I will get used to it. It's a little dry today but I think I'm gonna baggy tonight with some Giovanni SAS and EVOO. Then I'll just rock my wash n go tomorrow. WHEW!

Aaawww! You look so pretty. It took me about 2 weeks to get used it after having hair to my shoulders for the last 10 years, but you will love it and all the things natural hair can do. Enjoy!

Now it's time plan in your hair. Right after I big chopped, I hopped in the shower and co washed my hair. Unless you have some where to go tonight or something else to do, I say play around with it to see if you can achieve the look you will be going for tomorrow.

Give it a couple of days, you'll start to love it. In the meantime, fake it til you make it!!

Yes many much earrings. They make everything better imo. Your twa is cute! Now you can truly know the joy of a wash-n-go. WooHOO!!

Thanks so much! I hope it grows on me. It's just soooo short. I think she cut a little more off than I would have liked. At least most of that was probably scab hair.

I'm cleaning but right after that I will! I've got some condish sitting in my hair now - was planning to baggy tonight.

Ok Lynnie - I can't seem to get my hair to do anything and it looks like all the curls have left. I'm now sitting with a mix of EVOO, Castor Oil and Jojoba oil on my head with a bag and I'll probably leave that on all night and rinse in the morning. I noticed on your fotki that the top of your hair was looser than the sides. Did that change as your hair grew?

No my hair in the top is still looser than the sides and the back.

Do you have any gel? That was the only thing that would make my hair curl after my BC. Giovanni Direct Leave and coconut oil worked good too.

I have some Kinky Curly Curling Custard and some ORS Twist and lock gel. I guess I can try those?

I've never used KCCC but from all the videos I've watched, I know it doesnt work well with other conditioners. It works best with Kinky Curly Knot Today. I wouldnt want to be at the wedding with white flakes.

Try the ORS twist and loc but just use it in a small section to see if you like how it looks. Know when you use the ORS gel, you will have shrinkage.

congrats on the BC!! i agree with everyone cuz it does take some gettin used to but just think...u've already passed the first hurdle becuz U DID IT!!! little do you know u have more confidence than u think just by takin that plunge to rock a twa! not everyone can do that you are looking FABOOOOLUS!! i hope u dont take all the attention off the bride, lol.
