It would have been wonderful to see you as well. My plan is to come for a meet-up. I have friends in Detroit so I'm looking forward to coming.

Re: Curly Chef Robin: Frohawk Pic
Haven't updated in a while. Sorry.
Here's the update on . . . Seany!!! That's my hair's name. It's only taken me 9 months but she has a name! The reason is - My middle name is LaShanna and there are some people who call me Shanna. I thought about naming her that but then I thought about my friend's wife - Seany. Seany is sooo "real". She is a wonderful woman of God with so much self (and God) esteem but she keeps it real. No faking it with Seany. She's going to tell you how it is. That's what I think of my hair - My hair has given me so much confidence and weirdly enough self-esteem but it's real!! It's real me, take it or leave it. No faking! That's said . . . introducing Seany!!!
Now, here's what I've been doing. I've done stretched mini-twists twice and I LOVED them. So cute and the twist-outs were FIERCE! However, I think I have more shedding. Now, that could just be due to the fact that I keep them in a little longer than when I have regular twists in. My hair is GROWING though and I love it. 7 months post BC and the back is shoulder length. It's now in a very weird stage. Not quite a TWA anymore but not long enough to hang all over. As another poster said, it's in a weird mullet stage. I'm learning to enjoy every stage though. I tried a roller set with KCCC today. So-so results. I may need a different product.
I tried the Shea Moisture Conditioner but I want to try it again before I write a review. I'll post later.
Here are some pics!
Stretched Mini-twists - Took about 3 1/2 hours
Top view so you can see how small they were.
Shedding from my two mini-twist sessions. Most were shed hairs but it just seemed like a lot to me. Any thoughts?
Twist-Out - Day 1
Roller Set - UHG!! I have visions of my grandma's curls!!!
Not a great pic but I rocked a fluffy puff. Not sure I'll do this again anytime soon.
In case you are wondering what I am wearing: I have pj's with the feet in them. They are warm Don't judge me! LOL!!

February 26th is the date for my cooking class so I know I won't be able to make that one. :-( I'll try for April and maybe July! Looking forward to it!

Hey CCR, your hair is looking great. You are going to be a master at twist and twist-out, they are working good for you. I remember the wierd stage, i think I am still in it. LOL. How long does it take you to do your mini-twist?

Thanks so much! Loving your twists as well. This is a weird length but I'm trying to work it. My mini twists take about 3 1/2 hours! It's worth it as it gives an excellent twist-out! Have a great day!

Hey JnB! Thanks for stopping by! Your hair looks fab! Lynnie encouraged me about the shedding as well. I guess since my hair is getting longer I should expect it.
