Thanks ladies. Peppermint tea and honey is my best friend today!

I need help. My scalp has REALLY been itching lately. This is a recent problem that I've only been experiencing since I've started a routine with co-washing and stuff. It's driving me CRAZY today. I want to take out my twists and wash my hair, but I hate to take them out when they still look good, but my scalp is really itchy.

I use Suave, HE HH, olive oil, coconut oil, and cantu shea butter. I ordered some unrefined shea butter and I'm going to start using that. Recently, I've been oiling my scalp with olive oil. I want to get some castor oil soon to use for my scalp. Any suggestions on what I can do to relieve the itching or what could possibly be causing it?

Do you have any peppermint or tea tree essential oils? Maybe you can add a few drops of that to the olive oil.

I ordered some peppermint oil. I will start using that and see if that helps. Thanks!

Thanks SO much for the suggestions! I can't wait until my peppermint oil comes in the mail b/c this is driving me crazy!

I'm going to try and cowash my hair tonight with my twists still in b/c I don't want to undo them b/c I've only gotten two days out of them. Wish me luck!

That should work as long as you focus on your scalp. Try not to put any conditioner on the twists. Just let it run off onto your hair while you're rinsing.

I washed my hair last night with my twists in. I tried not mess with the twists too much, but they are still very frizzy this morning. But fear not! I pulled out my handy dandy hat that I bought yesterday and the day is saved! Yay!

I'm wearing my satin bonnet underneath.

I have been looking for your thread all through the forum!!! I couldn't find it. I had to search for you.

How are you? Thank you again for your words of comfort last week.

What do you have to share that new? Do you have another thread and I missed it?

Hope all is well and be blessed!!!
