TurquoizBlue wrote:Hi everyone,
I haven't been able to visit for a while, but I wanted to be sure to stop by to invite those of you who are in the Atlanta area or who can get to Atlanta to the AfroStitch Conference being held this weekend. I'm super-busy with crochet. I'll try to get back and catch up on everyone's projects and share what's going on with me and crochet. (BTW, I got the cover of the Winter 2011 issue of Interweave Crochet! Did any of you see it?
The details for the conference are below:

I participated in the Relay for life this weekend and made this headband for me and my daughter to wear as we walked.

OMG let me tell you I have the converse like baby bootie has a work in progress. I started lasted weekend but for me it is so detailed oriented...i finished the the sole, toe of the shoe and tongue...i am almost finished but I am stuck on some of the final instructions. i might need to look for another pattern or video. Theresa on YT has a vid on the high top baby bootie I might need to follow that. Because the battern I am using is free pattrn on ravelry...but i am a visual learner so if i see it done I can pick up quicker.

I hear you. I faved Teresa's high top converse-like bootie on ravelry as well. I learn a lot watching her vids because I'm also a visual learner.
