South Carolina Empty South Carolina

Post by HappyCurly 18th June 2010, 1:39 pm

Share your experience with a natural or curly salon by providing the following:

-Name of Salon and location (city, and contact)
-Name of stylist
-Experience (the good and the bad)
-If you'd recommend to a friend

Can they give a curly girl a good hair cut, on dry hair, going curl by curl so the clumping pattern isn't cut at different lengths?

@barbie007blaque From the perspective of a TRANSITIONER I like her a lot. I've been to her twice now for a rod set. I feel we're on the same page as to what I want for my hair , my goals, and she's not bossy or rough on my hair.

As for what you're looking for (a good shape up): I don't think she does that YET. Last time I went, she sent a client to the barber next door to shape her hair before she finished it (it looked nice). But because she sees the importance of a good shape up for natural hair, she's been taking barbering classes from the same barber next door and will be done in a few weeks.

She's very sweet and loves natural hair. I think she's almost as excited about my hair journey as I am. Her prices are reasonable, and I plan to go to her for my BC. Here's her site: http://www.naturalnorastudio.com/
