Wash, Style, n Go....
My first wash, style, and go...LOL
I used eco-styler gel to define the curls...
I am actually happy with the results although my hair is a bit crunchy....
Re: Buttercup76 ~ Updating...
Well Forum... Today I am going to get the ingredients to try the leave-in conditioner formula that Kimmaytube has on her youtube channel... I think that is the one thing that I am lacking in my regimen (a leave-in)... According to the channel the ingredients are as follows:
1 oz knot today leave-in
2 tablespoons Aloe Vera Juice
2 teaspoons Castor Oil
2 teaspoons Jojoba Oil
Mix well and apply to hair
According to her channel this mixture should have a pH balance of 4.0 - 4.5 to seal the cuticle... I hope it works for my afro looking ends... LOL I will let you know...

Looking good Buttercup. The recipe looks like it has the right stuff. Please let us know how it goes.
Re: Buttercup76 ~ Updating...
How'd the leave in mix work for you? I tried it but used Curls conditioner instead of Knot today.
Re: Buttercup76 ~ Updating...
As far as the leave-in goes... So far so good. I know for sure that a regimen gets better over time...
I must say that I absolutely loved the results from my first application of the leave-in conditioner inspired by Kimmaytube. The only modification I made was that I used the Giovanni leave-in as the creamy base because who really has time to wait for an online order to get to you... LOL...
Now normally when I wash/condish/detangle my hair and "go" it is pretty hard a brittle. After adding the leave in my hair feels very soft. I probably could have used a bit more of the leave in as I didn't use all of the first application in my hair. According to Kimmay's research the hair needs to be brought back to a pH of 4 - 4.5 so that the lifted cuticle can be put back into a non-lifted state... Therefore folks like me with afro textured hair can help manage those fuzzy ends, i.e. twist-out with afro ends... LOL...
What I plan on doing is using this once a week, when I wash on Sundays and what kind of results I get within a month or so... I believe I have found what I need and hopefully happy healthy growing hair for me....
I know we go out and buy a lot of products that claim the fame but I am truly NOT a product junkie.... So this surely is great to be able to put together something in my own home and be satisfied with the results. I hope this helps someone...

@NubieNatty...
I will take pics on Sunday of the results... AND the best thing about her leave in is that you don't have to buy it (yet) from her... LOL

Love the wash n go fro!!
I too tried a modified version of Kimmaytube's leave in conditioner. I used Giovanni Direct Leave in and aloe vera gel (Lily of the Desert). I washed my hair with my twist in and applied to my twist so I could get true results. I plan to get her exact ingredients sometime next month.

Happy Sunday everybody.... I was just sitting here thinking that the reason why I love being natural the most is because I can be versatile. I mean with the insertion of a few bobby pins I can go from day hair to night hair and vice versa... And there is never a dull moment when trying to figure out what my hair is gonna do day to day.... I absolutely love it...

Re: Buttercup76 ~ Updating...
Thanks jlowman1... I actually got the color back in November 09 I think... My hair was about 1.5 - 2 inches then. So what you see is the results of it growing out and me not re-applying the color... But I love it because it helps me show the growth...

There was nothing wrong with your video. Your hair was cute!!
So what you think about the leave in?

I actually really like the leave-in. I really can't compare it to much though because I really didn't have a leave-in conditioner in my regimen. I had bought the Cantu Shea Butter Leave in but I only used it once. I really didn't like the way that made my hair feel after air drying. With this new leave-in method my 2nd - 4th day hair still feels soft and full of moisture. So for right now I will continue to use this weekly and see how my hair keeps reacting to it over time.
How has your experience been? BTW I love your new avi...
Re: Buttercup76 ~ Updating...
I like it alot. I was able to detangle and twist my hair (large twist) in 40 minutes. That has never happened. I am also gonna continue to use it and see what happens.
Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks. I don't know if I will color again any time soon. For my hair it is real harsh and that is why I haven't yet. But I am itching for change...
