Good Morning to all you curlies out there.

Nothing new with my hair today just, spritzed it with H2O and kept it moving. The joys of a TWA Very Happy Can't wait for the summer months and vacation time. I'm so happy to not be a slave to the salon anymore. I wish I had done this a long time ago.

I just helped a fellow curlie here at work. Now that i think about it all of my female coworkers are natural except for 1. But I pointed her here to curlynikki.com for information cause she's still learning too. I gave her some styles tips so she can keep the heat out of her hair.

Well have a blessed day!!!

Good Morning

Been under the weather for a few days but much better today. Hair today of course my w-n-g, day 2. On another note, I have begun my exercise program again yeah me!!! I recently joined a new gym that opened up so I'm excited about that. My husband is also a Personal Trainer so really I have no excuse NOT to exercise. Just been lazy and not motivated to do it. But I'm glad that I'm back in the swing of it. And posting this will help me to be accountable for it. I hope you all have a blessed day!

I'm glad you are feeling better and getting back in the gym. Like, Tia said, you will get addicted. I know I am but that's a good thing.

newcurlieque wrote:Yesterday was my hair day, so I washed my hair with my Oyin shampoo bar. I DC'd with my homemade condish experiment. It actually turned out really soft. Then I used the moisturizing cream and spray that I purchased from Shidanaturals.com and sealed with olive/castor oil. Now normally I would style with IC Fantasia gel but I wanted to experiment with Bee Mine Curly Butter. I used it right after I BC'd and it gave me great definition but not this time. I'm kinda mad cause my hair looks like a dry frizzy brillo pad. I will stick to my gel for styling from now on. Here's the pic:

Or is it just me? Seems like it looks better on the pic than in person. IDK

Hello newcurlieque your hair looks great. Its funny how pics can make your hair look better or worse than it does in person depending on the lighting. We also for some reason see our hair different that other ppl at times. Look forward to sharing more TWA stories with you.

Good Morning Ladies

Thank You all!!!

So I cowashed this morning with HETT, then put in my ShidaNaturals Moisturizing Spray and Cream, sealed with evoo/co and that was it. Boy you gotta love wng's lol. I actually got pretty good definition w/o using gel. Speaking of gel, I went to Sally's over the weekend and purchased 2 32oz tubs of ECO Olive gel. Just cause they were on sale. I used it on Sunday and noticed that it left my hair softer than the IC Fantasia so that's a plus.

On another note, I will be either going to the gym tonight or roller skating, just depends on how I feel. I my goal is to exercise 4-5 times per week. Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Good Morning to all!!

Good News!!! I have successfully converted my friend to becoming a natural. cheers woot! dance

She BC'D yesterday and she loves it. So happy for her!! No new hair news just a wng, man I can't wait till I can do some of the cute styles I see everyone around here doing. I know it won't be long but I'm anxious. I don't miss relaxed hair but I miss having length to do different stuff with. I don't regret BCing though. I love the fact that I'm watching my hair grow, and learning what it likes and dislikes.

Hope You all Have A Blessed Day!

Rollerskating is such fun exercise. My hips were killing me the last time I went and I know it was because I was using muscles that I rarely use.

That's cool that you inspired your friend to go natural. I was trying to get my Aunt to go natural. She hasn't had a relaxer in about three months but yesterday she said she was thinking about getting one. I will stay on her but she lives in a different state. Knowing her she already got one and just hasn't told me yet (like im the police and I will lock her up for a relaxer violation or something) lol.

Hello to you ladies, been mia for a min, had a killer migraine but I'm feeling better. Monday was hair day so I managed to wash my hair with Oyin Honey Wash, I gave myself a hot oil treatment with evoo/co. My hair loves hot oil treatments. Here's today's hair. It's growing really well too.

Newcurlieque - Page 3 2010-019

Still getting it on in the gym, I'm determined to get the extra pounds off. I've actually started looking forward to going to the gym now.

Hope you all have a blessed day.

That's great, you just gave me an idea. Today is my deep condition day so I may skip the egg yolk in my mix and just use the honey and olive oil heat it up and do a hot oil treatment myself . Thanks for the idea Newcurlieque - Page 3 Icon_biggrin
