Gosh, I wish I knew you were going to Oyin - I would have drove right along with you. That's who I was hoping would be there.
What did you buy from Oyin?

I was lookin for them too. I got the Honey Wash, I use it on my skin, love it, Funk Butter, a shampoo bar, the Afterbath Oil, and Honey Hemp Condish. I've become a product junkie lately lol.

Re: Newcurlieque
Yesterday was my hair day, so I washed my hair with my Oyin shampoo bar. I DC'd with my homemade condish experiment. It actually turned out really soft. Then I used the moisturizing cream and spray that I purchased from Shidanaturals.com and sealed with olive/castor oil. Now normally I would style with IC Fantasia gel but I wanted to experiment with Bee Mine Curly Butter. I used it right after I BC'd and it gave me great definition but not this time. I'm kinda mad cause my hair looks like a dry frizzy brillo pad. I will stick to my gel for styling from now on. Here's the pic:
Or is it just me? Seems like it looks better on the pic than in person. IDK

Good Morning Ladies
I was not pleased with yesterdays hair so I washed the hair this morning with Oyin Honey Wash, I moisturized with ShidaNaturals Moisturizing Cream and Spray, sealed with evoo/evco and styled with IC Fantasia. Much better results.
So last night I was playing in my hair since I knew i was going to wash it today and I picked out my fro and added headbands just to see how they would look.
I also did a twistout on my baby, she was eating cereal which you can see is stuck between her teeth.
Anyway, I'm thinking about coloring my hair, someone suggested Henna so I'm going to research that today. I'm wondering if Henna will give me that vibrant coloring that I'm looking for ?
Well I hope you all have a wonderful hump day!!!

Your hair is beautiful! You already have a nice color and your curls are poppin'! I love the scarves on you too. How old is your baby...she is too cute.

Re: Newcurlieque
I know what you mean. I bought some henna and indigo myself, but I want to go darker and color my grays. A lighter color would look nice on you though. Maybe the henna will give you a nice reddish shade.
Re: Newcurlieque
I've never heard of Indigo.....is that like henna? yeah I think a reddish shade would be cool. If I could get a honey color that would be cool too.

Re: Newcurlieque
Indigo is what makes the hair darker so I don't think you'd want that. The color you get from henna is so varied--you never really know what you're gonna get, so I would probably go with a commercial brand to make sure you get the results you want. But check out the henna group. Some of the ladies have posted pics of their results so you can get an idea of what it might do for you.
Re: Newcurlieque
Thanks LaToya....I will, I'm also looking around hennaforhair.com. You know I used to put color in my relaxed hair all the time and now that I'm natural I'm scared too lol.

Re: Newcurlieque
LOL I can understand your hesitation, I'm the same way. It's weird though because our natural hair is much stronger than our relaxed hair. Well, let us know what you decide!
Re: Newcurlieque
Your hair is cute today....curls just pop, pop, poppin. Love the scarf. Your daughter is a cutie!!
I dont know much about henna but I dont think you can get a honey color from it. I've only heard of reddish/brownish tints and black.
