And yes! I've been playing with the idea of pressing my hair. The main reason I haven't made a decision is I'm scared my hair may not hold up with all of the heat from dancing and shaking my booty!

You guys will never believe that I actually flat ironned my hair late last night. I know I can't even believe it. My ends were ugh! And the tangles were a mess. I went to have my ends trimmed and the lady went back over it with the flat iron (I know I'm trying not to think about the heat). Its really long and my color is really bright hahahaha!!!! I'm keeping it wrapped up until I go out tonight. Here is a picture from what I did...

Thank you ladies! I haven't had a relaxer in so long I can remember how long it was. Remember I transitioned from pressing and it wasn't this long.

I enjoyed my birthday! I had a wonderful time shaking my booty. My hair did revert back even before I left the house hahaha. So its in a ponytail wrapped up.

I just twisted it into a bun. Its long enough that I didn't need a clip; which was a good thing because I lost it walking to the club hahaha

Chrs I may try the castor oil on my ends. I think my issues is more of shedding and the simple fact that curls are so tight that they just curl up on themselves. I get knots in twists from my hair curling on itself. Crazy!

Now with this ONE time flat iron do you know the comments I'm getting. I'm trying not to be sensitive. Am I being too sensitive? Those on my FB tell me the truth...are those comments have a hidden meaning like I should keep my hair straight because I look better this way or something? Ok tell me the truth. hahahaha At this point I'm thinking of posting a status telling folks that my curls will be back shortly and will be here for another 2 or 3 years with no break in between. I already had someone tell me I SHOULD wear my hair down from time to time. I wear my hair down all of the time...I'm the doggone w'n'g queen! Dangit! hahahaha

And my hair is in a bun ponytail. I haven't been able to do this in a little over a year because my curls are so tight it looks like a pony puff! hahahaha

Ok now I just had to IM this lil heffa after she posted a comment on one of my pictures. I'm so tempted to take my pictures down. She came at me about oh I thought you were never going to straighten you hair and now I see your back to the straight side. When I told her I never said never and I said I was hesitant about heat damage she comes with you need some adventure. What the haystacks! She wants me to find a cuss word for her little busybody self! Ok I'm pissed now! Why can't the picture just be cute and leave it there? Or why if you don't have anything nice to say why can't you just leave my page all together? Ugh!

SisterBoyd, your hair looks fabulous - straight or not. And it looks healthy. You do you!!! I was having this conversation with a Relaxed friend last night. She said , why not a texturizer? I just looked and said, well I'm at that age where I wear what I wear to please me. If most don't like it, to bad. I am still the same person inside. Best of luck.....

Thanks Free! See I try to stay away from calling folks jealous...but I need to stop trying to make folks something they're not. There are some folks who are jealous for whatever reason. They have whatever issue and me denying the fact isn't going to make the situation any better. Its not about me being nice. At 40 doggone it I get to be honest for once and stop putting everyone else's feelings before mine.

I prayed and talked to myself. (I am PMSing) I went back and read all of the comments. I realized that I can't and shouldn't focus on the few negative or questionable comments. There were plenty of positive and really nice comments. That's what I'm going to remember

Yes, this one chick does have issue. She's made other comments about me and when I asked her what exactly I've done that makes her feel the way she does about me she won't tell me. And I'm asking her so I can apologize and make sure I don't do it again. I'm not about offending people. I play a lot so I know I can rub folks the wrong way at times. However, I'm not the one who walks around wanting to hurt folks feelings. So I asked her again and she did that lil catty mess of laughing it off and said she was just playing (whatever heffa). I told her if she decides that she wants to tell me what I did to offend her I'll be here to hear her out. At this point I need to move on from her. The playing will be no more where she's concerned.

Ok I have to admit that I'm so enjoying my bun! Last night I moisturized and sealed and then twisted it in a loose bun and put my scarf on. I started forget how good it feels to sleep in my wrap scarf hahahahaha!!!! And yes, I'm starting to miss my curls

Sorry about the negative nellys. I know you said you don't like to call people jealous, but the reality is that is just what they are. Because if you don't like something, the best way is to say nothing. Nasty remarks are a sign of jealousy. Probably jealous that your hair looks so good, even when you sweated it out.

I don't understand why people think you have to stick to one hairstyle. I did say I'd never straighten again. But, I got curious and lightly blew my hair dry and flat ironed it. You would think I'd broken some religious vow. Its your hair, can't you do what you want?

BTW your hair looks great, straight, and curly. We got versatility!
