Please start your blog. You have such good information and you always research thoroughly and are willing to share. I know your blog would be awesome, for both hair and makeup.

Your protective style's are really nice. Your juicy pony was fab! Your hair is so shiny and healthy looking. I'm sorry to hear about the breakage too and know you'll nip that right in the bud by pampering as necessary.

It was great seeing you again and hanging out at Ulta when TerraD was in town. I always enjoy my CN meet ups. Looking forward to doing more in 2011.

I joined a hair care challenge. My goal is to retain my hair's length & ensure it is healthy. If you are interested check it out under the Challenge thread.

Hair type: High to normal porosity, medium density, medium strands & "S" and "o" shaped curls

Routine:
Weekly
Pre-poo with ayurvedic oil
Shampoo with gentle cleanser
Detangle with conditioner
DC using steam - will use ayurvedic powders, deep conditioners (Bee Mine, Darcy's Botanicals, Curl Junkie)
Style for week using LI/moisturizer (currently Afroveda's Totally Twisted Ginger Almond Butter), sealant (castor, shea, aloe vera or avocado oil) & holding product (Afroveda's PUR Whipped Gelly)

Daily
Spray nightly with aloe gro spritz
Apply oil to ends (castor, shea, aloe vera or avocado)

Monthly
Henna and indigo treatment
Protein treatment using animal, keratin or another non-vegetable protein (two weeks after henna)
Clarify with Curls Clarifying shampoo

Hair length goal (really want to achieve and maintain hair growth):
Above ears - collarbone
Sides/crown - BSL
Nape - APL

Over the last few days, I S&D for split ends and SSKs. I thought I had more than I did. I did the front of my hair. I plan to do the crown and back in the next few weeks--likely after the new year when I put in twists again. It was quite tedious. I took each twist out then sectioned that twist into four or so and looked at each strand.

Ladies, I thought I had been using Afroveda's Totally Twisted Ginger Almond Butter. I am actually using the Curl Define. It is a moisturizing butter also. Every morning and night, I spritz my hair with aloe gro then put on the CD. My hair is still holding up good. I plan to pre-poo with maka oil for at least an hour and DC with ayurvedic powders using steam tonight. I am thinking of using amla & brahmi or maka alone. I will bun my hair or flat twist it to prepare for NYE.

! This is the first year I have actually gone out for NYE. Hubby and I will also stay the night at the hotel. I feel like a grown-up, LOL. I'm not sure how I will rock my hair. I am thinking of my mega bun with pincurled side swept bangs. Any other ideas? TIA

What are tou wearing! I agree that it should be up so you don't have to worry about sweating while you are dancing!

Sweet, I do not know what I will wear. I am thinking of a purple dress I wore for a recent party I attended. I did not do much of anything in it. I am also thinking about a black cocktail dress.
