Curl Definer Gel
Hello.
I just took a lot Aloe Vera and mixed it with Vatika Dabur Coconut Hair Oil, and one teaspoon Guar Gum.
I got this idea from Chicoro, and you can use any oil you want to do it, but i just love this oil there's both coconut oil, castor oil and henna in it, and it smells delicious.
But the gel is amazing, i use it when my hair is wet with Bee Mine Moisturizer underneath it.
It is an a amazing curl definer and is great for wearing curls out, and also slicking the edges back and styling.
And it makes my hair sooo shiny!
You should try this once!

I am interested in knowing how much of each you used. Also, what brand of aloe vera did you use? What kind of aloe vera did you use--gel, gelly or juice? TIA

@Indidiiamond - Not sure where in NC you live but I always get my Vatika oil from a local Indian Grocery store. I just googled Indian Grocery store in NC to find it. Just be forewarned that a visit might make you hungry for Indian food!
I'm also really curious about the Curl Definer Gel. Where do you find Guar Gum?

I do know I saw a Video and someone use Xanthum Gum I think its used as a thickner so I am thinking these are about the same. You can find the Xanthum Gum in Whole food stores near the flour so I am wondering if you can find the guar gum in the same place.
This is come from Chicoro's book?

Re: Curl Definer Gel
To everyone who wanted the recipe I checked Chicoro Fotki and this is what she posted on her Fotki
Basic Ingredients:
1. Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Gel (1/4 cup)
2. Oil (1/8 cup) - Any kind will do!
3. Guar Gum (1 teaspoon)
***I Forgot Glycerin!! Oops
4. Glycerin
Pour aloe vera gel into container.
Add oil.
Add guar gum 1 teaspoon at a time.
Keep the mix thin. Messed up? Like Gypsycurls says, "Just add more aloe vera gel to thin it. You can't mess it up"
I say start out with just a small quantity just in case you don't like it. She never said how much Glycerin. Here is her Fotki
