examples of moisturizers

what are some exapmles of water-, oil-and cream-based mositurizers? the only oil based ones i can think of have petroleum and/or mineral oil and i have tried them before and they just coated my hair and made it greasy.

Water based moisturizers have water as the first ingredient. Oil have oil as the first ingredient I.E.:

I mention that because I was looking at it in Target and was the only one I remember seeing. It's also free of Petroleum and Mineral Oil. You can probably just use pure coconut oil too, it's up to you.

This has mineral oil though. But just an example, I personally like it.

thanks Reece. I've never heard of a cream based moisturizer either until i read it on another thread. I dont even know where to begin with that one (cream-based moisturizer that is)...

I've heard of oil or water based and then the description of it being liquidity, or light or heavy or creamy, but not cream based. Not sure how that would exist when cream relates to texture/composition and oil and water has to do with contents/ingredients.

Water- basically all conditioners
oil- any oil to seal in the moisture. pure coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed, jojoba, sweet almond and avocado are all examples.
cream- i think she meant cream as in butters like Shea Butter, Cocoa and Mango butter. This is to seal in the moisture as well
