Hey there! I live in the DC area and need a trim. Nothing major, just a simple trim. Does anyone know of any stylists in the area who can cut kinky-coily hair while it's wet? I want to avoid having to straighten my hair before getting in cut and all of the stylists that I know prefer to straighten my hair before they cut it. I hate that because I never wear my hair straight.

I go to either Nicole or Toni at pure beauty on connecticut ave. Now I will warn you they are both sissor happy but they are the only ones I have found so far that can cut and color my hair the way I like it.

Salon Revive gave me a simple trim and they didn't straighten my hair first. She tried to get me to do so, but I wouldn't budge. (I'm not that pushy so there was no argument.) I did get a steam treatment and so after she saw my hair post-steam she told me she could do it w/o straightening. I have super-coil hair so I kinda understood why she thought she needed to blow it out, but I wasn't having it.

@kinky situation...girl as soon as I read your post I'm like she's reading my mind! All I want is a trim and color!

@jad928....thanks for the salon tip! Will be calling them to see when I can get an appt. Do you prefer one of them over the other as far as color or cut or both? What are the prices?
