I'm still in the weave..
I washed my hair on Sunday with ApHogee shampoo.. BAD IDEA. Now my hair so sooo rough. Lately my hair has been super dry, and I don't know what to do to make it soft. If anyone has any ideas, please shine some light on my situation.
I've been apply castor oil to it, and it helps a bit.

For some reason my hair has made a complete turn around from its dryness.. its soft now!! I cut a few inches of relaxed ends from the hair that was left out from my weave. I think those dry relaxed ends were really holding me back. I also did a baking soda treatment. I think that also helped my hair a bit.

Tinypic is being difficult, so I could only upload one picture of my install:

welcome! Aphogee has protein and it may have been too much. Itooks like you have it all under control now.

Happy growing!

I agree with MZ. SHEE. I am protein sensitive. And prior to getting that knowledge I was using so much protein. Once I did away with that, the hair is mucch softer.

My hair is behaving nicely today. Its incredibly soft. Its like my strands made a 180. RandRlove's hair 678474

Today, I went to bible study and I was touching my hair the whole time! It was soo soft! I think it may be all the cowashing i've been doing. Or the castor oil. Whatever it is, I like it. I cant wait to take out my weave so i can see my growth.

Welcome to the challenge!

Your 180 degree turn may be from both. Co-washing and castor oil are both great ways to get your hair moisturized and keep it moisturized. Keep doing what you are doing, and you will continue to see good results.

I know its a bit late on a tuesnight.. but hey! its still tuesday!! Lol!!
I'm acutally doing my hair right this minute. I noticed it was shedding abit around the perimeters of my leave out.. I knew what the culprit was. Not moisturizing. While I was paying close attention to my horseshoe leave out, i was neglecting my permiter. Right now i'm applying a moisturizer to it. it feels softer already! I'll come back with results tomorrow.

Thanks so all the welcomes! I just really want some henna! I've been wanting to try it for awhile now. I think my hair can really benefit from it.

Today my hair was soft again. Its been soft all week. However when I braided my leave-out yesterday night I did them too small, so they didn't have time ti dry fully. I had a frizzy leaveout. It wasn't all that cute. But it was soft.

I redid the braid out, and it did it too late in the night so it was still damp in the morning. So I had to braid the front and added a headband. For some reason my hair is dry. I think i've been using too much coconut oil.
