Post by LovingLife 25th July 2010, 12:20 am

So today will mark the first day that I begin my OFFICIAL blog, in which I will be excitedly tracking my transition to natural hair. I am a second time transitioner. When I was 15 I decided I wanted to be natural, so I did a long term transition. I believe that I was transitioning for about a year when i did the Big Chop, but after that I only lasted, maybe 6-7 months before I gave up and went back to a Relaxer. =/ What can I say? I was YOUNG! Now, at 20 years, I am giving it another shot. My last relaxer was in either December or January, so I’m around my 6-7th month of transtioning!! I am very excited to try it again! This time with the help of the online community, and more research! Two nights ago I attempted Bantu Knot outs, and I must say I really enjoyed the look. I am still attempting to “master” it. I tried it again today, and let’s just say, it is now in a messy ponytail. I am now on a mission to find the best way to straighten my hair, bone straight, the straight that you would recieve from a flat iron, without any heat! =] wish me luck!
xoxo

Hey LL!! Welcome to Curl Street!!! I really like your BKO. I never could get the hang of them. As far as products go for a roller set, I'm no help lol. I couldn't get roller sets right when I was relaxed since I never had the patience for them. Hopefully someone else will chime in. But as for getting your hair bone straight without heat, I'd be interested in trying that somehow too. I know most people roller set and then sit under the dryer, but honestly I don't even want to do that lol

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to do a quick update! So unfortunately I was unable to really rock my bantu knot out today! =[ My fiance came down with strep throat, and I have been playing nurse all weekend! =[ so instead of wearing them out, I pulled them back into a pony...

LovingLife 21cy3cn

So yea, not much to report on that! I am however overdue for a good wash and condition! if not tonight ((due to my sick love)) then definitely tomorrow!!!

On a side note, I'm still looking out for really great products to use, I am in college, so I need products on a budget, I have seen some throughout curly nikki, but anything helps!!

Oh, and just to let you all know just how excited I am about this transition, last night between waking up almost every hour checking temperatures and giving out medicine, i honestly and seriously DREAMED wonderful amazing dreams of myself completely natural!! haha. =] I am oh, so, excited!!!

xoxo
