Re: Natural Hair Dictionary--Detangling the Terms
Thanks Lynnie! That was a great video.
How does this sound: Shingling is the application of a styler (usually gels, custards, or mousse) on detangled, damp or soaking wet hair in sections, beginning from the back of the head to the front so that each section stacks on top of the next. Product should be applied so that all the hair is covered but not so much that the hair is hard or stiff. Once the product is on, you shouldn't touch your hair until completely dry.

Re: Natural Hair Dictionary--Detangling the Terms
You usually take all of your hair loosely and put in a high, but on top of your hair loose pony tail and a satin pillowcase to sleep on. In the morning you take it down and shake it out slowly and all of my curls would have been preserved.

Re: Natural Hair Dictionary--Detangling the Terms
I have heard alot of people say Clarifying: when you wash your hair to remove product build up, dirt or anything clogging the follicles. also HHG as a salutation or happy hair growing
