Under eye circles...
I've always had dark circles under my eyes but it seems like the older i get the worst they get. I haven't worn contacts since 05 or 06, instead i hide behind dark tinted glasses. I need to find a way to at least reduce them so that i'm not embarrassed by them....
Is there anyone else with this problem? Have you found some type of remedy?

Re: Under eye circles...
you should try the one in the jar .....the anew or something like that .
But here is an article i found on the bags under our eye, cause I got'em too.
How and why your body creates dark under-eye circles
Learn about the causes of dark circles under
eyes
Most people think that dark under-eye circles are caused by staying up late
watching monster movies, or having that last drink the night before, or sitting
up with your laptop trying to finish the quarterly report. Most people think
that their behavior is somehow linked to dark under-eye circles.
Well, most people are dead wrong.
If nothing else, I want you to know that dark under-eye circles are not your
fault. They don't mysteriously appear when you misbehave or are stressed out,
only to vanish when you get 8 straight hours of sleep. Dark under-eye circles
are a by-product of the very same mechanism that produces bruises (and you don't
blame yourself for bruising, do you?). Changing your behavior will, in almost
every case, NOT get rid of your dark under-eye circles.
Having said that, onto the specifics:
What causes dark under-eye circles
Your shiners, your raccoon eyes, your blue luggage... whatever you call your
dark under-eye circles, here's what they really are: oxidizing hemoglobin.
Dark under-eye circles begin in the capillaries, the tiny blood vessels that
web the delicate skin around the eyes. Now, your capillaries are so small that
red blood cells sometimes have to line up, single file, to get through.
Frequently, red blood cells get lost and wander into the surrounding skin. This
isn't a problem - it happens all the time - and your body has a mechanism to mop
up these escapees. Enzymes in your body break down the red blood cells,
including their hemoglobin (the molecule that gives them their distinctive red
color).
No problem, right? Except for one thing: when hemoglobin is broken down, its
remaining components have a dark blue-black color. Just like a bruise. So your
dark under-eye circles are actually caused by leaky capillaries.
How dark under-eye circles are like bruises
When something hits you, blood vessels are traumatized and sometimes broken.
Blood leaks out into the surrounding skin. Your body begins the mopping-up
process, and you see a dark, purplish or blue-black discoloration.
So, as you can see, dark under-eye circles are very similar to bruises. The
same mechanisms produce them.
Why are dark under-eye circles so visible?
It's quite possible that capillaries all over your body are leaking small
amounts of blood all the time (I don't know if this is true or not). But the
reason dark under-eye circles are so apparent is this: the skin around the eyes
is some of the thinnest, most delicate skin of your entire body. The capillaries
are much closer to the surface of the skin there. Many people's skin is not only
thinner around the eyes, but also more translucent.
The combination of capillaries near the skin's surface and translucent skin
makes this discoloration much more apparent. And that's why you have those dark
under-eye circles staring back at you in the mirror.
Getting rid of dark under-eye circles
Now that you know they're not your fault, you're probably even more likely to
want to get rid of those pesky and unattractive dark under-eye circles. Check
out RevitaLume for dark circles under the eyes to get
the help you need.
and then here are some home remedies
A collection of dark circles remedies so you can get help fast
Just about everyone knows a home remedy for dark circles. They're such a
common complaint that dozens of different cultures, and everybody's grandmother,
has their own favorite remedy for dark circles.
How well does your favorite remedy for dark circles work? Some are better
than others. None are 100% effective, especially against the kind of serious
dark circles that send you screaming from the mirror.
Nevertheless, home remedies for dark circles can be helpful - for instance,
if you've run out of eye cream for dark circles and you need some help right
away. Or while you're waiting for UPS to deliver your RevitaLume order.
Best home remedy for dark circles
The most effective remedy for dark circles is also the most cliche. Thin
slices of cucumber applied to your eyes not only helps to lighten the skin, but
also soothes and cools the eyes. This can be especially comforting if you've
been up late the night before or your eyes are red and tired from allergies or
staring at a laptop screen.
Lay down on your back (because it's easier to balance the cucumber slices
that way). Lay thin slices of cucumber on your eyes, making sure they have
contact with the skin under the eyes. Leave them on for 5-10 minutes. It's a
good idea to set your alarm clock if you're doing this early in the morning. Be
careful not to get cucumber juice in your eyes.
RevitaLume includes cucumber extract, which is a less messy and more
effective way to get the same cooling, soothing benefits of cucumber slices. The
benefits of our product also last much longer and help to strengthen the
capillaries under the eyes, to prevent future dark circles from forming. Learn more about RevitaLume.
Tea bags as a remedy for dark circles
The caffeine in tea bags acts as a remedy for dark circles by diminishing
puffiness. Caffeine in tea helps to diminish water in the tissues around the
eyes (you'll notice that many early eye circle creams contain caffeine for this
very reason). In addition, tea contains antioxidants that are beneficial to the
skin.
Take a used tea bag (green, black or white) that's been squeezed out. Make
sure it's cool! Leave it over your eyes for about 10 minutes. You'll see a
noticeable improvement in puffiness and under-eye circles. Be careful not to get
tea in your eyes.
Herbal tea bags are not useful as a remedy for dark circles, except for
chamomile tea. Chamomile is an anti-inflammatory that can help reduce swelling
and puffiness.
The best remedy for dark circles under the eyes is a product specifically
designed for that purpose. RevitaLume makes use of the latest research and
cutting-edge products to diminish dark circles within minutes of application.
You don't need to raid your fridge or brew a cup of tea -- just apply RevitaLume
and see the difference. Learn more about RevitaLume.

under eye dark circles
Girl ,I share your pain. Ever since I was born I had really dark under eye circles. My mom let me know that they run in my family on both sides. So I knew that it wasn't much I could do about them that, so I turned to my best friend concealer. I make sure that I find the right shade and have a corrector under neath it. The concealer and corrector that I am currently using is Revlon Beyond Natural in 310 light-medium, and physicians formula gentle cover corrector in yellow. I am a true penny pencher, and I don't believe in paying to much for anything. I buy the concealer at Big Lots and it runs me about $3.50,and the corrector at target for about $4-5, a bargain right!!! The consistency of these products are absolutely amazing, both are creamy and very easy to blend out. Hope that this helps:)
Re: Under eye circles...
Curly-me-naturally, thanks for that informative article. I can now stop kicking my own butt about my dark circles. Using eye cream is still good for me because I was using it to deter wrinkles, not get rid of dark circles.
But, basically, using cucumber slices or taking the chance that products wilth cucumber extracts will work is all we've got, that and concealer.

Under eye circles...
Nourish your skin while you sleep, use the best eye creams during the night of face masks on the market that help reduce swelling and discoloration around the eyes, there are homemade facial masks can do it yourself. Every night before bed, take a piece of cloth and immerse in cold water, now, remove excess water and place gently in the eye while sleeping.

Re: Under eye circles...
1. Cut cucumber in its cross section and have a piece of it under each of your eyes for half an hour. Then remove them.
2. Drink plenty of water, at least 15 tumblers a day.
3. Drink a cup of carrot juice daily.
4. Always wear a cooling glass(spectacles) while going in sunlight.
5. Sleep at least 6 hrs a day.
6. Smash a riped papaya and apply under your eyes for 15 minutes and wash them off.
7. Wash your face whenever you return to your home from outside.
Soon you will get rid of those unwanted dark circles... All the best. Take care...
