Shea Butter
Hello all i hope all is well. i mixed my unrefined shea butter with castor oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, aloe vera gel, and a little of cantu shea butter leave in conditioner.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] do i need to keep my shea butter in the fridge and add a perservative or is it okay to leave out and use as normal IM so confused [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] and what type of perservative should i use??? is peppermint oil one?? i need help thanks in advance

I think grapeseed oil is a preservative. I don't usually add any preservative to mine or put it in the fridge although the aloe vera gel may call for a preservative or refrigeration.

If I'm not mistaken, grapeseed oil is a natural preservative as well as tea tree oil. Though, I've mixed my shea butter without either one and the mix would last me MONTHS at a time.

Honey and Grapefruit Seed Oil are natural preservatives!!! Grapeseed oil is a carrier oil, tea tree is a natural antiseptic.....I hope this helps!
