Mid-April is so close. Just think of how far you have already come. Too bad I am on the East coast. I need an esthetician.

Thank you ladies! I know that I just have to keep it pushin when comes
to school. I am just ready to be out in the world doin what I love!

I had a good weekend albeit short. Partyed it up with my LadyLove
Saturday night and just chilled all day on Sunday. It's super rainy out
in SF today, supposed to rain heavily all week! Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 Icon_cry I love the rain, i just hate commuting in it.

I am on week 2 of my two strand twists. Did a quick cowash this morning
with my leave-in then sprayed with olive oil. Retwisted a few spots
that had come completely undone. Still lookin good tho! I will def have
some pic put up this week. I'm actually searching through all my old
photos so I can upload them to fotki. I'll let you know when those are
up.

Happy MLK ladies!

Hello ladies!

It's really coming down out here today! Though I am tempted to stick my head out the window and let the rainwater run through my hair! Scalp is a but on the dry side today, gonna oil it up when I get home tonite.

On another tip ChrLvsBks is a fan of the Oil Cleansing Method which I want to try. Any other fans? What's your take on it?

Have a good day!

Hi Chrs!

I usually use olive oil on my scalp. When I did my onceover with oil
Monday morning, I didn't oil my parts and now I'm feelin a bit itchy.

On the OCM tip: I am going to start doing it a few times a week. I
think that I'll be using a Coconut and Olive oils. I'm also planning on
making my own face cleanser with castile soap/rice bran powder mix.
I'll do that on days that I'm not doing OCM. AND (lol) I'm also trying
to formulate a toner using tea tree, aloe, and water. Hopefully these
will work out. I'll def keep you posted. Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 Icon_pirat

Hey ladies!

Happy Friday! I've been slipping on my game. I thought for sure that I had posted Wed & Thurs but I guess not! Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 Icon_pale

NEWayz I can't wait for the weekend! I get my full two days this time and am planning to do a mini PJ haul.

What I am looking to buy:
Vatika oil
EV Coconut oil (OCM)
EVOO (OCM)
Castile soap
Headbands
Satin Cap

I was planning to do a twist out next week but I'm working 6 days and it's supposed to continue raining. Instead I'm going to DC with the Vatika oil and redo my twists for another week.

*update* Maybe I will rock the twist out. I'll DC before I take the twists down and see what happens. I'll be purchasing a satin cap and some headbands so I can rock a puff this week too.

Pictures are coming!

Have a great weekend!

That is what my hair feels like. My poor
little strands are parched. This morning I didn't have time to rinse my
hair (which is always an immediate fix) AND I couldn't find my moiiture
spritz! So I dampend my hair with water, massaged my scalp with some
olive oil and water, then topped the whole thing off with some Creme of
Nature Herba Rich Leave-In. Hopefully that help out poor Seffy (short
for Cephalopod...I want my hair to look like a beautyful octopus) until
I can really do her justice this weekend.

Have a great day ladies! Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 Icon_geek

It
helped a bit but she still sounds lil crunchy on the ends. She is very
well oiled which leads me to believe that it's more water that she
needs. I'm also going to start to sealing my hair so that should help
with holding some more of the water in.

Happy Monday ladies!

So I didn't get to really do anything of the hair things that I wanted to do this weekend. In fact I just barely had time to do a quick cowash this am for my twist out. Cowashed with Aussie Moist. Squeezed out excess water with a towel. Let air dry while finishing my toiletries. Added some BioInfusion leave-in on the way out the door. Undid twists on the train to work.

Ah Monday.

Hello there, have you tried a tee shirt or other smooth cotton material to squeeze out excess water? A towel has raised threads which may pull your hair.

Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 Empty Full Face

Post by FemmeFox 27th January 2010, 3:50 pm

Day 3 and my twist out is still rockin. I guess that you could call this a wash-n-go but I haven't co washed since Monday. When I got work this morning I just sprayed Seffy with a liberal amount of my moisture spritz, fluffed, and shaped. This is actually working out a lot better than I thought. I have not had to add any hair accessories to make her pop and I am LOVING the texture!!

This is a little OT: How much make-up do you normally wear? Myself, even though I am a total make-up lover/make-up artist, I don't usually wear much. Just lip gloss and mascara when I do get around to it. However yesterday I worked OT and went to class. I actually made it to work early today (usually I'm like 5 min late almost everyday). I knew that my lack of sleep demanded make-up. Before I left the house I pulled out my full mini-arsenal including concealer (big deal for me since usually I tell the world that if I can deal with my flaws then so can they lol). Once I got to work I went into the Ladies room and went to work. It came out hot! No pics (of course not, when do I ever have pics?) but here's a rundown of what I'm wearing on my face today:

Skin:
Maybelline Mineral Perfecting Concealer in Dark
Priia cosmetics mineral foundation in Ginger
NARS bronzer in Laguna

Eyes:
NARS bronzer in Laguna (as eyeshadow...to the brow bone)
Ben Nye Lumiere e/s in Persimmon (in the crease)
MUFE Aqua Eyes waterproof eyeliner in Dark Grey
Max Factor Vivid Impact Mascara in Dark Brown

Cheeks:
Nars bronzer in Laguna
Nars blush in Orgasm
Bare Minerals blush in Flowers

Lips
:
Carmex (not tinted just reg a** carmex lol!)

Ummmm so I just realized I can take a pic on my camera phone and post it. I'll do it during lunch (before I eat so I can be cute for y'all!) and post it this afternoon.

Have a beautyfull day!

Happy Thursday!

So close to the end of the week!!! I have made it through with curls poppin! I am definitely going to squeeze in a dc before my brunch on Saturday. I'm really loving the density of curls right now and am kind of loathe to stretch them out (ie comb my hair) but I probably should when I dc. She should shrink back up after the final rinse.

As for yesterday, I took a bunch of pics and emailed them to myself from my phone...they have yet to arrive in my inbox! My pics are floating in the ether! Will def have pics from brunch this weekend.

ttyl later ladies!

Post by FemmeFox 29th January 2010, 1:08 pm

Today is the last official day of my twist out. Since I haven't really done that much with it this week besides use the moisture spritz and finger fluff.pat into shape, Seffy has pretty much reverted back to a twa. I have realized that I am in need of a trim and possibly some shaping. I can get my hair cut for free at school but I'm a bit wary of they stylists...can any of the girls cut natural hair? I know that at least one of the guys there is already a barber so I may try to get an app't with him next week, I would really like a girl tho. We'll see.

Tomorrow morning I will dc and possibly do an oil wash AND a co wash. I haven't done a shampoo was in about 3 wks but I am feeling lazy. My Aussie Moist Consitioner may be enough though. I'll just pay extra attention to my scalp.

ChrsLvsBks wrote:Wow re: makeup application. I want to try to get into wearing makeup but dang, it sounds like a lot. I plan to reward myself with makeup for every five pounds I lose.

Makeup is a great reward! It WAS a lot but that day I felt like I needed it. I need it too today but it ain't happening. Like I said usually I just swipe on some gloss and maybe mascara. I usually only do full coverage like that if I'm going out or I just want to wear more makeup hahaha! Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 Icon_razz The trick to all beautiful make up applications is a good base. If your skin looks flawless you can wear as little or as much as you want and not look overdone.

Natural in Wonderland - Page 2 617583 The weekend is here!!! Enjoy it ladies!
