In DIRE Need Of New Hairstyle Empty In DIRE Need Of New Hairstyle

Okay, so I'm 16 months post relaxer and my curly hairstyle is starting to bore me. All of my hair isn't natural yet which I feel limits what I can do. I use to just put my hair in rollers and wear it curly, then I moved on to a twist-n-curl but a little different compared to how I usually see it. Now I want to try something different. I don't know how to braid to the scalp *sigh* and I'm just not a styling expert in general. Another thing is that the top section of my hair is significantly longer than the bottom so that plays a role. Anyone got any ideas as to what I can do?

Maybe it's time to BC.
Or if you aren't ready you can do a braid and curl, or watch some youtube vids and teach yourself how to corn braid. Maybe some box braids or twists with some rollers on the ends. I'm in a similar rut, except I just don't like the way my style looks as much as I used to. So as soon as I get some time, I will be doing triple twists to change it up. They're much easier to take down than braids and I learned how to do them on Youtube Smile HTH

Maybe try some styles that you can practice doing only on the front half of your hair like regular flat twist or 2 strand flat twists. I understand, I am transitioning as well, and cant braid or french braid. I tried the 2 strand flat twist and it is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
