I buy mine from a small private owned health food store in my neighborhood. It is the Now brand and I just like catering to my small local businesses for this kind of stuff. I do, however, make sure they have recommended brands. I use a tablespoon of my in my homemade curl refresher spray. Lately that's been one tablespoon each of vegetable glycerin, honey, olive oil, aloe gel and two tablespoons of any cw conditioner. I mix this all with about 5 oz of distilled water and shake. So far it keeps my curls moist for hours. I'll see how this works when the weather gets warmer.

The first time I bought it I got it from walmart. What brand do you have? It should be okay it doesn't have a bunch of other ingredients added. I went to buy some recently and the price is outrageous. Rite-Aid wanted 6 bucks for about 6 oz of glycerin. Glycerin is a by-product of soap-making. The online store charges 4 bucks for a pound of glycerin.

I use mine in lotions, and hair products.

I bought Healthcare Pure Glycerin. I mixed it with a drop of castor oil, water, aloe vera juice and sprayed before twisting last night. My hair is moist. Does it need to be refridgerated?
