Shea Moisture at Target
I saw the Shea Moisture line at Target yesterday and really want to try it. Has anyone tried their deep conditioning masque or their moisture retention shampoos and conditioners?
Thanks [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .

I've tried the Deep Treatment Masque and love it. There are some posts in this forum about it. I use it as a DC.

Re: Shea Moisture at Target
I've tried the Deep treatment masque and I love it! I would compare it to KBB Luscious Locks Hair mask.
I applied it to wet hair and love the way it went on...I left it on my hair about 45 minutes...no heat. When I rinsed it out, I had soft, fluffy, cottony feeling hair. I think I am gonna kick KBB to the curb [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]. I have to admit I've only used it once so I wont make my finally decision until I have used it a few more times. It's only $9.99 and I dont have to pay for shipping so that definitely play a part in my final decision.

I just used the Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk for my 2 strand twists and I LOVE it. Smells yummy and my hair is sooo soft. I've been spraying my hair with Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Hold & Shine Daily Moisture Spritz since I did the twists. I can't believe how soft my hair feels and how healthy it looks.

Re: Shea Moisture at Target
I've used the masque, and the raw shea restorative shampoo and I love them both. I've only used the masque with heat and it leaves my hair very soft (almost too soft, but I love it).
The shampoo lathers well yet it's gentle. It uses decyl glucoside as its cleanser. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy cone users or people that like to pile on the oil. I did a vatika oil pre poo and my hair was still greasy after washing (actually I think I could get away with not pre-pooing when it comes this one).
All-in-all very satisfied. Will definitely be repurchasing
P.S. For those of you that are loving this stuff, make sure you are going to Target.com to review them.

Re: Shea Moisture at Target
Wow ladies thanks for the great reviews!
@Blakbutterfli and Lynnieluve: I have been looking for a great DC and I have wanted to try KBB Lucious Locks for a while now. I was just wondering how the masque would compare today. At such a great price, I can try all three of the products I have been eyeing and still spend less than I would on the KBB LL ( I do NOT like to pay shipping, either).
@ bevyboo628: I will definitely be checking out the shampoo!
I don't know about you all, but I don't like always being on the hunt for products that work. I am looking to find my key products and stick with those- until my hair tells me it needs something different. I am going to take poeticallyspeaking's advice and look at the top 5 ingredients in the products that work for me (and the ones that don't) and purchase accordingly.
Thanks again, ladies!

I tried the Masque yesterday as a DC for the first time, and I couldn't believe how soft my hair was! I think this is going to be a staple for me. Also, I two strand twist with the smoothie. I'll update how the twist out comes out in a few days.

I tried the deep treatment masque and it is great! It smells wonderful and left my hair very soft. Also, I have the curl enhancing smoothie. I like it as well; it also smells wonderful and keeps my hair soft and hydrated.

@Dva-Let me know how you like the shampoo & conditioner. They were too thick for me. That masque and smoothie is DA BOMB. I am going back to purchase the hold & shine spritz and the milk.

Found the SheaMoisture Masque and used it this weekend. It was great! Smoothed any tangles/knots and made my hair super easy to comb. It smells good too...that's a plus.

Re: Shea Moisture at Target
I've been trying ot find this product at my Targets, but no go. I called the manufacturer. She says they have an exclusive contrat with Target that expires at the end of the month, and after that, they will be selling on their website, again. She also said that they only ship to Target a few times a month, so this is probably why they don't keep it readily in stock.
Thanks to MsVaughn on YouTube for bringing this to my attention...maybe I'll get to try some soon...

Yipee! I would love to be able to shop online. I like online shopping. Even though you have to pay shipping and handling, you don't have to go store to store hunting around for stuff. *in my Katt Williams voice* And with the price of gas???!!!

Shea Moisture is the business!!! Target needs to get rid of every other "ethnic" product and just keep their shelves stocked with this stuff.

Re: Shea Moisture at Target
I tried using raw shea butter (whipped with vatika oil) and it dried out my hair to the point that I thought it'd never come back. Do you all typically have good results with raw shea butter and so that's why Shea Moisture works for you? I'm scared about using the Shea Moisture given my last shea experience.

Re: Shea Moisture at Target
moonchild: did you ever use raw shea butter without the vatika oil? I've never used it before.
I'm wondering if it is possible for it to dry out one's hair even if you don't use the vatika oil. If so, I'm thinking of not trying it.
And: How did you bring your hair back? Glad you did.

Moonchild: do you think it's the vatika oil? my hair didn't like it. My hair doesn't like straight shea butter either. However, it loves shea butter mixed with other butters/oils.
