Using "Afro Sheen" for tanning
My boyfriend, his son and I were in Walmart today in the beauty/hair section (I was looking for some Giovanni Direct Leave in since I heard they put it in the "natural products" section) and a super skinny and short Caucasian girl comes up to us looking a little flushed and embarassed and says that what she was going to ask might sound weird. Then she said she heard that "Afro Sheen" was good to use for tanning and she was wondering where she could find some. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] It was hard to hold back my laugh...in fact I started laughing but was able to squeak out "ethic hair care aisle" while my boyfriend pointed it out to her. She wound up getting a can of Palmer's Olive Oil Sheen Spray and asking us if that would work. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I told her I didn't know but that was oil sheen spray lol.
I can just imagine her at the beach or by the pool today spraying that stuff all over and laying out trying to get a golden brown tan. I just had to share with you guys!

But wouldn't it end up cooking her? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Lol, I don't know anything about tanning. I tan very little, and my skin usually just jumps straight to "you sunburned, b*tch." [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I think that's the point. That's how you get food to brown in the oven, a little oil or butter. They want to make sure they're well done. LOL

I couldn't laugh at her too hard...because if somebody told me that sun tan lotion made your hair really soft and moisturized and you lovely ladies confirmed it, I'd be in there trying to buy some to slap on my head [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
