Re: ........
I tried it and love it. Now I use this in conjunction with my Qhemet Biologics products BUT I can also vouch for how it makes my hair feel right after a clarifying session with ACV (no product on hair). My hair is super soft and practically tangle free. Even after day 3 and 4 my hair is still moisturized(this is with other products of course). I tweaked it a bit for my liking also. I use Jamaican Black Castor oil instead of regular castor oil and I use olive oil instead of jojoba oil. I give it 2 thumbs up. I used to have the bushy ends issue...not anymore. HTH!
Re: ........
thanks for sharing your experience ; and thats why i was really interested in the leave in because of thoes darn bushy ends lol i hate it.
i find it amazin that people are tweakin it and still havin great results

I also tried it--following her recipe exactly and loved it. I put it on damp hair and let it air dry over night in about 8 twists. The next day my hair was still feeling super moisturized. I think I will be mixing up another batch with Giovanni Direct Leave in and will report back results on that.

I've used it also, and I did tweak it by adding five drops of rosemary essential oil. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Definitely cuts down on my frizz.

The recipe consists of KCKT, aloe vera juice (you can use the aloe vera gel too--it doesn't change the end result), jojoba oil and castor oil.

I just smoothed on to dripping wet hair, BEFORE applying my shea mix and oils to seal. The results are best if you use the leave in FIRST, and then go through your usual routine.

Re: ........
I tried a modified version of it but I applied it while my hair was in two strand twist (wet hair) and I think I love it but I will be trying it again tomorrow on loose hair.
Modified version ~ Giovanni Direct Leave in and Aloe vera gel (organic), jojoba oil and castor oil

I've seen others stating that they have used a different type of leave in for the recipe, and in the video she does say you can use your leave-in of choice.
Re: ........
I tried it using Oyin Handmade conditioner and loved the results! It's a keeper and I'll be using this with every wash. I need to get a scale though because I was trying to eyeball the amounts and mine came out thinner than whats in the video. Still worked great though.

Thanks Lynnieluve! I wanted to try the Kinky Curly Products anyway so this gives me an excuse! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Re: ........
I tried the leave in mix too last week. LOVE IT! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] My hair already likes KCKT so I suspected I was good. My hair was so smooth and tangle free. And my hair was supermoisturized for days and even today with my t/o. I plan to continue using this as part of my overall routine going forward.
Didn't know you could use AV Gel in place of AV Juice. I ran all around looking for the latter. Anyway, I liked the mix alot and will use again.

Re: ........
I have not tried Kimmaytube's leave in. However, even before she came out with hers I was using something similar. I actually got the idea for the recipe from Agore. I use
Kinky Curly Knot Today
vegetable glycerin
jojoba oil
a few essential oils
vitamin E (to preserve)
water
I use this as a spray leave in and it works great. And because I added the essential oils and vitamin E, I don't have to worry about it going bad and making batches over and over. I also like my mix because it stretches my use of the KCKT, which isn't cheap for such a small amount. One spray bottle's worth of this mix lasts me about 2 months.
My take on why it works... KCKT is just a great leave in to begin with in my opinion. Aloe vera juice is also known to be moisturizing. (I may sub the water for this next time in my own mix) And of course, the oils help to seal in the moisture from the KCKT and aloe vera juice.
I tried castor oil on my hair and it makes it greasy. I do like it for
my scalp though. I may try her mix after I've used up my own. We'll
see...

Re: ........
Ok - I have to try this as well. I will order KCKT and some aloe vera juice. I have the gel but I need to check the date it's been the fridge a couple of months. So does this mixture only make 1 application at a time?

Re: ........
Yep it only make one application. She said she does it way because it doesnt have a preservative in it. That's why she stores it in the fridge too.

So, what can be added to preserve it or make it last longer? Mine is in the fridge, since last Thursday.
