Best Leave in Moisturizers for Dry hair

what do you ladies recommend as great leave-ins for Dry hair?

The Kinky Curly is great. Probably the best out of all of them I have used. Its a decent price for being an all organic product and Target has started to carry the line so you can even get it locally! Whole Foods has it as well.

Oyin Handmade Honey Hemp conditioner is great for a leave in also. I use it in place of Knot Today in Kimmaytube's leave in recipe.

I've heard great things about Giovanni Direct Leave-in. I'm currrently using Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in, but it doesn't mix well with other products.

Many curlies use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration as a leave-in as well.

Giovanni Direct Leave In ($7.99), Kinky Curly Knot Today ($12), and Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave In ($9) are all leave-ins that I have tried and love. I favor Giovanni Direct Leave In because it is the cheapest and it leaves my hair feeling so soft! You really can't go wrong with any of these leave-ins because they are natural and very moisturizing.

KCKT HANDS DOWN PERIOD!

I tried the Direct leave-in and it left my hair very dry on wet and dry hair so I think I will be taking it back and getting something else HTH.

right now...i'm experiencing with a shea butter moisturizer. it seems to be working good now, but then again today is my first day using it. i'm probably going to have to apply it everyday until my hair soaks it up lol, but um i guess dry hair is a problem for most when trying to b natural after the big chop.

Jane Carter's is the best leave in I have ever used.

I use Giovanni's Direct Leave in most times, but also love KKKT.

On another note, naturallyu I love the way your hair is styled in your avi. How is the back done?

I use cantu leave in, i tried the others but for some reason this one seems to work wonders for me, i apply vatika oil on top then style. Right now I have a twist out using the cantu, vatika, and then ecostyler olive oil on top....

I love Giovanni Direct Leave In and Kinky Curly Knot Today. I also tried Kimmaytube's leave in last night using KCKT and it worked great.

I've used the Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioning cream, Giovanni Direct Leave in and now I finally used the KCKT and I must say, I'm in love with that stuff!

I tried the Giovanni leave it, it was ok in my hair really did not make a difference but it goes to show that what works for me may not work for the next curly

my shea & ntea oil moisturizer is working very well....i guess i just needed something creamy for my little twa i can't wait til' my hair grows out more so i can rock s nice braid out or twist out~

for me, Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle has been the best. And it stays moisturized for a very long time after I put it in, for about a week.

The only other leave in I used was Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose. Its very thick & I liked that as well, it made my hair very soft but it didn't last as long for me as the Trader Joe's conditioner does.

I vote for Giovanni Direct Leave In. It leaves my hair soft, moist, with a good sheen and poppiing curls. I use it after my DC and during the week to refresh.

I've been using the Giovanni direct leave in, and i mix it a little with shea moisture smoothie, my hair is soft and moisturized all day! thanks for all the replies everyone! i think i have finally found my staple products.

I use Kimmaytube's leave-in with KCKT and I love it...

This week, I ran out of leave-in concoction, so I went to Target and purchased two KCKT and I didn't have time to mix it up, so I have been using it solo with the KCCC and I am loving the results...

All that to say, KCKT to me is the best leave-in conditioner!

Ladies, remember that Direct Leave-in has a lot of protein so if your protein sensitive that's probably why you're not having wonderful results.

My all time favorite is a mix of glycerin and aloe vera. I live in So. California so I don't have to worry about season changing. I like to layer so I've used other products on top of my mix. Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose is ok. Shea Moisture Volumizing Conditioner has been working really good. KCKT used to work great, but now its just ok. It worked better when I was transitioning. Also, deep conditioners such as Carol's Daughter Hair Smoothie, Shea Moisture Hair Masque, Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner (not the leave-in), and there is one more but I'm drawing a blank.

If you're using shea butter and still experience dryness you may need to mix it with aloe and/or glycerin. There are a few threads here and articles online about how shea butter isn't a moisturize just by itself.
