Sure! I will repost:
This can also be found at my fotki:
public.fotki.com/breezybaby

It's really super simple.
I take a can of coconut milk, put it in a saucepan and heat it on low for 2-3 minutes. I transfer the coconut milk to a tall cup (to make it easier for me to pour) and I pour it over my dry hair (usually over the kitchen sink).

I twist my hair up in a clip and put a shower cap on and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. (You can leave it on longer if you like).

Afterwards, I gently rinse for a minute and......
that's it! That's all there is to it. You can apply a deep conditioner afterwards if you would like.
Go ahead and apply your regular styling products like you usually do.

You'll find your hair to be softer, easier to detangle and shinier.

I did this yesterday and added liquid aminos to it. You can read about the specifics on my challenge page. I forgot about warming it up but I did cover with a plastic cap and towel and I showered while it was in. I loved the results though! My hair was curlier and very moisturized. The process was pretty messy....do you squeeze the excess out of your hair so it doesn't drip like crazy?

So I was looking at your fotki...nice hair and tips! Do you braid or twist your hair alot so you can get waves vs. curls? Your hair looks great both ways! I haven't done that lately...maybe I'll try that so I can go longer between washing. I have to wash or wet my hair everyday but I may try the oiling and braiding at night to see if it looks good in the morning.

Hi JamaicaCurl

Heating the coconut milk makes it thicker, so it's a bit more syrupy and less liquidy. Also, I don't go through a whole can in one soak. (I do throw any leftovers down the sink). You may only need 1/4 or 1/3 of a can.

When I heat it up on the stove for a couple of minutes and pour it over dry hair until it's saturated, I don't have drippies. I used to when I didn't use heat, but now that I do use it, I dont have any problems with mess.

Thank you on the compliments!

Actually, my hair is very curly naturally. Using braids and twists creates styles with more wave-like, looser curls than I actually have.

Also, because I use oils a lot, it straightens my hair out a bit.

At night (however I wore my hair during the day) I put it into two big twists or two big braids (sometimes four). In the morning I take it out and style as usual, sometimes I need to mist with some water.

I used to have to wet my hair everyday to style it, but I was determined not to have to do that anymore. The twisting/braiding at night has really helped me a lot.

Aaaaahhhh! Now I know what I need to do next time! Thanks! I do hate to waste good coconut milk so maybe I'll heat 1/2 of the can and freeze or refrigerate the other half for the next time.

Do you do this weekly?
